Brawley, Imperial County
Brawley lies more than a hundred feet below sea level in the heart of the Imperial Valley. It incorporated in 1908 and became a center for cattle feeding as well as vegetables and alfalfa. Each November the town holds the Cattle Call Rodeo, a tradition since 1957, with a parade down Main Street and several days of events at an arena built into the bank of the New River.
